The Innovation House offers delegates the opportunity to experience, learn and discuss how open innovation is improving quality of care at home now and in the future.

The Innovation House gives you the chance to experience innovative assisted living solutions and find out more about where and how they are improving patient care today, as well as how new technologies will help tackle healthcare challenges in the future.
There is a growing trend towards innovative solutions that connect with each other and with clinicians in surgeries are making health care more portable and personalised. Expensive chronic illnesses such as diabetes, COPD and dementia can be monitored remotely and treated on a preventative basis, saving costly hospital trips and giving patients greater freedom by enabling them to spend more time in their homes.
Over 40 innovative products aimed at improving patients’ independence and quality of life will be available for you to try and test, ranging from the latest products in use today to future solutions that will allow greater personalisation and remote monitoring. Many of the products on display show how innovative new ideas from front-line NHS staff can be brought to life through collaboration with third parties.
A team of experts will be on hand to guide you through the house and demonstrate products, explaining how they are improving patient care and quality of life.

With no allegiance to any one product or service, i-Health is able to provide an honest-broker service to health organisations to develop commissioning business cases to ensure appropriate technologies are sourced for each medical intervention.
i-Health runs two facilities for demonstrating technologies in a ‘live’ environment: the i-Flat and the i-House.
Meet Continua Health Alliance members and learn how they are driving international standards. Continua is moving fast to deliver interoperable solutions, allowing products to connect with each other, regardless of manufacturer, allowing for personalization.

Finding ways of assisting more people to live independently at home for
longer is a hot topic across the modernised world. Technologies such as
telehealth and telecare hold great promise, but robust evidence is lacking.
In order to close this evidence gap the Department of Health has initiated
the £31 million Whole System Demonstrator (WSD) programme believed to be
the largest randomised control trial of these technologies to date. The
Innovation House contains some of these technologies being evaluated.
