NHS East of England SHA

NHS East of England was established on 1 July 2006 as the Strategic Health Authority for the east of England, covering Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Essex, Hertfordshire, Norfolk and Suffolk. Home to 5.6 million people, with a higher than average proportion of people aged over 65, the population is expected to grow by 11% over the next 14 years.

NHS East Midlands SHA

NHS East Midlands provides strategic leadership to the NHS organisations in the counties of Derbyshire, Leicestershire, Lincolnshire, Northamptonshire, Nottinghamshire and Rutland. These organisations have a total NHS budget of £6billion, and serve a combined population of 4.3 million.

NHS London SHA

NHS London is one of ten Strategic Health Authorities (SHAs) in England. It was established in July 2006 to lead the local NHS. Its goal is to improve the commissioning of health services for local populations, thereby improving health, reducing health inequalities and promoting patient choice and access to quality healthcare.

NHS North East SHA

We are one of the ten strategic health authorities in England and play a pivotal role in implementing national Department of Health policies in the north east. With around 200 staff, we are responsible for making sure that all NHS services in our region meet the highest possible standards. NHS North East oversees 23 individual NHS organisations in the region.

NHS North West SHA

NHS North West was established in 2006, as the headquarters of the NHS locally. We cover a wide geographic footprint from Crewe to Carlisle with a population of nearly 7 million, spending nearly £12 billion per annum on healthcare.

NHS South Central SHA

NHS South Central is dedicated to improving the health and alleviating the causes of poor health for the benefit of patients, the public and taxpayer alike in Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire, Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.  It runs from Banbury and Milton Keynes, at its northern edge, down to the Isle of Wight in the south.
