Special Innovation Expo opportunity in partnership with National Innovation Centre and Clinical Experts
What’s it all about?Have you ever found yourself asking if only I could, I would… After all it can be exasperating, particularly when you identify simple needs or problems that just aren’t being addressed. The most successful innovations are based on real ‘needs’ - innovations that would improve the care you are able to offer to your patient; and often innovation is driven by the people who work at source.
If only I could, I would… is an online competition being run in partnership with the National Innovation Centre, for the NHS Innovation Expo taking place between 18-19 June.
The rulesAll you have to do is identify a need or problem that, if addressed by an innovative service or technology, would improve the care you are able to offer to your patients. You should then submit the need you have identified using the online form until 10 June 2009.
All submissions will be reviewed by an expert panel of clinical experts and the top 4 winning submissions will then be published and profiled on the website during the Expo.
All submitted clinical needs, irrespective of whether they are in the top four, will be retained and used wherever possible to help solution providers understand what is needed to improve patient care.
What’s in it for you?If you’re one of the delegates who submits a winning submission, you will not only be recognised at the Expo, where the winning submissions will be announced, but in addition, you will potentially have the opportunity to see your solution developed and implemented.
Once the 4 wining solutions have been chosen, we will then give innovative service and technology providers the opportunity to come up with solutions to your need or problem.
If only I could I would…. well, maybe you can. After all, anyone can be an innovator!
